Moto Studio, Goldmember 2 17 September 15
Moto-Studio in Miami Florida was founded by Bruce McQuiston and is the culmination of his lifelong obsession with all things mechanical. His desire to build a bike for himself naturally morphed into building bikes for friends and customers. The company gained momentum when Bruce met Ryan Arends at Bike Night in Miami in the winter of 2013. Bruce and Ryan are men with the passion and the skills required to transform a motorcycle into a work of art.
The donor bike is one of the first versions of the Moto Guzzi 1100 Sport and is part of the history of Italian motorcycles. One of the biggest flaws of the 1100 Sport was certainly the weight, which reached 232 kilograms, which at the time all its competitors were under 200. The team at Moto Studio put this classic bike of the 90's bike on a diet, creating a much leaner and more ridable bike than the original, and has even more power using 40mm Dell'Orto carburettors
The 1100 Sport's frame is entirely new and manufactured from aluminum, the shock is an Ohlins TTR4. The tank and fenders are made of carbon fiber giving even more of a weight saving. The front suspension was also given a upgrade, replaced again by Ohlins forks.
The result is aesthetically very pleasing, but giving exceptional performance too. The bike has been lightened by more than 45 kilograms, making the new Moto Guzzi 1100 Sport Goldmember 2 a much quicker and enjoyable ride for the long rides on Sundays in Miami.
